Whew! That went past fast!

My goodness!

It's been a long time since I posted.

Life got very strange for a while there with isolation, shut downs, digital everything, a torn hip, teaching from my recliner on pain meds and generally weathering the school year. (Pro tip - never stay in one position for nine hours. Bad things happen to your muscles when you attempt to get up quickly...ouch!)

Last Spring, I notified my principal that I would not be returning in the Fall. As much as I adored my students, their families and my school - I loved my husband more. Our plan was to move to Pensacola for his return to grad school following the end of the my school year. He was transferring his civilian position and I'd start teaching at a new school.

I had school interviews and house hunting scheduled in Florida for Spring Break. Plans galore and so much excitement....then the announcements started. The interviews all cancelled, the schools enacting hiring freezes and my current school had already filled my position (I wasn't surprised, it's a great school).

The Lord leads in interesting directions. I'm now a nanny, tutor and general free lancing employee. I'm using all my acquired skills from cooking, catering, commercial design, accounting, teaching, and so much more in my regular schedule. I've been blessed to meet so many families, friends and contemporaries - some living just down the street - that I'd never have encountered without the change in my life.

I'm still exploring the future of my education career and continuing my growth spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally. Please remember me in your prayers and share the new situations or challenges you've faced in this amazing year.

God Bless ~ Pollyanna
